I am in Florida. I came here determined to make a difference. My initial goal was to personally deliver more than 500 votes to the polls in a mini-school bus I bought for just this purpose.

I am pleased to report that I will far exceed the 500 mark. I have already transported more than 200 Bush supporters to the polls. Most were elderly, who live at my grandmother’s retirement home. I have also visited two similar communities. Before I finish on Election Day, I expect I will have personally delivered more than 1,900 Bush votes.

I must say that these elderly people are good folk; most have been abandoned and woefully neglected by their wayward, self-absorbed children. I am sure it will not surprise any one to learn that the “prodigal” kids of these elderly folk are, universally, kerry supporters. At the start of the election, most of these elderly folk, interestingly, were also leaning kerry. After a bit of chatting with them, I am pleased to say that I have persuaded them that Bush would not, contrary to the democrat machine’s campaign of scare and smear, dismantle social security. How did I persuade them to vote for Bush, notwithstanding democrat propaganda and lies? By talking turkey and engaging them in thoughtful political discourse.

I also implored them to set an example for the Nation to follow by standing up against kerry’s proclivity to hide our Nation’s collective head in the proverbial sand. You know that pre-911 kerry mindset of life in the supposedly carefree ‘90’s. And they agreed that the man in the Oval office could not sit idly by, with Monica under his desk, allowing threats to gather. These good folk agreed that the carefree ‘90’s of Clinton & Monica, in the aftermath of the horror of 911, was simply not an option. Yes, I asked them to reject the “carefree Clinton/Monica ‘90‘s” and remember the 911 victims... Our peple's safety.

I implored the elderly to care more about this basic concern-- on which everything else in this Country -- world-- will simply either stand or fall, than any self-interest. I asked them to use their votes so as to never again allow thousands of people to be horrifically murdered in a single stroke, as on 911. I implored them to recognize the urgency of the situation; that the war had already actually begun, and that the clock could not be turned back pre-911. And they agreed that there simply was no stuffing the Jeannie back into his bottle. That kerry’s life long dream of being the next “JFK” was not an excuse for distracting the Nation’s attention from fighting this complex and comprehensive war on terror. They agreed that the 3000 dead on 911 demanded, not a mere police investigation, but war. They agreed that it boiled down to sheer deception on the part of kerry to disconnect the war on terror and the fight in Iraq.

The overwhelming result of my plain talk was that these good folk erupted out of the retirement of their pre-911 mindset and resolved to go out there and win one for the Gipper. In their wisdom, they agreed that the protection of our people, the security of our Nation, is the government’s paramount charge.

I asked them to stiffen the Nation’s backbone by voting Bush. I reminded them that civilization was no less at stake in this complex war on terror, as it was when the Nation rallied to defeat the sin called Nazi Germany, and scourge known as Red communism. They agreed that the world was at war and America could not afford retreat and defeat. In the end, we all agreed that kerry’s disingenuous campaign to disconnect the war on terror from Iraq was simply the shameless opportunism of a cynical and calculating politician. After we spoke bluntly, we then hugged, and played checkers. We even sang and danced.

I have several military buddies who have also purchased mini-school buses. They are also on their way to their grandparents’ respective retirement homes, where they hope to each deliver no less than 500 Bush votes to the polls. The mini-bus Bush vote movement is growing by leaps and bounds. Buy a mini-bus, and jump on board by driving them elderly folk to the polls. Just make sure they're Bush votes. No less than civilization is at stake. How many more 911’s can this Nation suck up? The grasshopper is at your feet. The blind man will show you. Peace!

Now the REAL question is.. will the democrats have tour busses to bring in the K/E supporters? From N.J./PA./Ohio?
Or will they just throw out all the ones you helped vote?

I hear you. Bush hears you (a little nostalgia). I can't stick around for any ensuing discourse. I am on a mission and am admittedly getting a late start this morning. Do what you can to elect Bush. Kerry's untrustworthiness (his lack of credibility on Iraq) has abjectly exposed our strategic belly in the war on terror. History will judge this man harshly. If he's elected, brace yourself for the ensuing world-wide chaos and upheaval. And watch our so-called "allies" (France, Germany) move in for the jugular. kerry will leave us holding the bag. Shameless!

Good to see you doing a service to the community, hitparade. How about pictures of the event I am sure some of the people you are helping might like having their picture taken so they can show it to their kids.

Keep up the good community work!

I live in Texas, is there a way I can contribute money to your cause? Maybe some gas money or lunch for the drivers?

I often ask myself what kind of numb skulled, wool over the eyes people support Bush. I cannot believe that anybody with any sense of rational thinking, can watch even 30 seconds of this man in a debate, or giving a speech, without thinking, "what a dipshit."! The man is clearly a Republican Party puppet; he's dumber than a box of rocks, for Pete's sake! It's been proven over, and over, and over, AND OVER AGAIN, that Iraq was NOT A THREAT, HAS NO AND HAD NO WMD'S, AND HAD NO CONNECTION TO A.Q. TERRORIST CELLS!!! Do you not watch the news or read the paper?! He is a liar, motivated by greed, and the wealth of greedy supporters (Enron,Halliburton, etc.), with no care or concern about the well being of the general population of the U.S.. I am not a Kerry fanatic, so please, make to assumptions. Please, I ask you, if you have not yet seen "Fahrenheit 9/11" go rent the DVD and watch it! You may think that it's "Anti-Bush" propaganda, but I swear it is NOT! It does, however, show a glaring look at some factual information, that offers more details than what you currently are aware of. These findngs may change some peoples views of "W", but realistically, well, THE TRUTH HURTS! If you are so sure of yourself, and not afraid of the truth, then watch the movie, what have you got to lose? Are you "chicken"? No? Then watch it! Everybody, I urge you to watch this movie, and then decide on who gets your vote (although I am sure the Rep. Party already has another scheme to steal this year's election like they did in 2000...) This man, George W. Bush, should not be in office now, and certainly not for another 4 years . My advice to the author of this post, is to SMELL THE COFFEE AND WAKE UP! If you support liars, biggots, sexist thinking, greed, degradation to women, children and men alike, job losses, and a draft to continue THE OCCUPATION OF IRAQ that will result in more deaths of plenty of young Americans for the purpose of $$ and oil, then vote for Bush. And I sincerely hope that you are happy with yourself, when you go to sleep at night, after witnessing the destruction and chaos that Bush will bring in the months to follow! When you think about all those lives lost, and people injured; legs, arms, faces, blown off; think about all of those children set aflame, with shrappnell piercing their innocent bodies as their homes are invaded by tanks that Bush sent; think about the peopel who are now without limbs, or a home due to LAND MINES and dropped bombs. How many more beheadings would you be comfortable with, before you agree that we should not be in Iraq? What if these things were happening to YOU or your family and friends? Hmm? How would you feel then? My mentioned examples are not a dramatization. These kinds of things are happening daily in the Middle East. And while I am sure it's easy for you to sit there and say "yeah, go get 'em troops" and encourage this so called "war", try to think outside of the "we must support the president" box way of thinking just long enough to put your self into some else's shoes. Yes we should support the president, BUT ONLY IF THE ACTIONS OF THAT PRESIDENT ARE MADE WITH THE WELL BEING OF THE NATION IN MIND. Bush's actions are not made that way. He is being puppeteered by an administration of wealthy, corporate eliteists. "some may call you the elite...I call you my base" (G.W.B. addressing a group of wealthy supporters at a banquet).

There are waaaay to many inconsistancies for me to start on.

I often ask myself what kind of numb skulled, wool over the eyes people support Kerry.
on Oct 21, 2004
hitparade: sounds like you're using fear to persuade the elderly to vote for Bush. I realize that Kerry supporters are doing the same; though they're playing a different fear card.

I'll probably "waste" my vote on a third party candidate, because I don't believe neither GW nor Kerry deserve to be president. We need a strong third party to give these "republicrats" a run for their money. (I know I'm dreaming, but one can hope)

I wonder how many of the senior citizens you've already delivered, just told you they'll vote Bush so they can get a free ride to vote for Kerry or someone other than GW?
on Oct 21, 2004
Or will they just throw out all the ones you helped vote?

Funny....I don't recall any reports of Republican votes being trashed. I believe it is the other way around.
on Oct 21, 2004
Mr. HitParade,

As said before, Thank you for your help in getting the people to vote. I strongly believe in you spirit and wish everyone had just a taste of your dedication. But I ask of you sir! Please allow a person to vote their mind and don't try to persuade them to see it only your way.

I battle not your cause or hate you for it. That is the very freedom I cry that we are about to lose. The right to vote! I fear this election will seal that fate if GW Bush gets to stay in office. Please read the USA PATRIOT ACT 2 before you go to the polls and vote. IF GW gets to stay in office, MARK THIS DOWN!, You will see it passed and you will lose your citizenship if you choose to disagree with the government!

Read it first!. Then put 2 and 2 together with the scenerios that have happened many times by GW Bush. I know, I was there and I am even witnessing the events happening now due to GW coming to Jacksonville, FL..

GW and his band of followers push anyone that disagrees with anything on their agenda. I have been detained because I was wearing a T-Shirt that said " The True Power Belongs to the People NOT THE GOVERNMENT" If PA2 gets passed, the government will have the right to remove the one thing that really protects you. "YOUR NATURAL CITIZENSHIP" Without that you have no bill of rights.

Let's look at something that is so obvious that most people forget to add the figures up.

US Citizen = Bill of Rights & Right to Vote
Illegal Alien = Foreigner = Tourist = NO Bill of Rights & NO Right to Vote

Where did we miss that.

So as no one can blast me as a POS. My credentials are in order
Vietnam Vet | United States Navy Retired 20 Years | Forcably retired by Mr. Bills Military Scaledown |
Active Participent in all Conflicts from 1974 to 1994 |
Party affiliation ( Democrat) But I vote my heart all the time.
Lost my past 2 JOBS due Layoffs caused by GW BUSH.
BTW, I did vote for Bush the first time in 2000. Since then, I have lost my house, 2 jobs, and all my savings. Sir, Do not confuse your anger of the 911 deaths. When Pearl Harbor was bombed, We knew who did it. The Japanese!, not the French of Spanish. Do not direct your anger to IRAQ... They did not plan the attack. People in Afganistan did!!!!! They even admited to the fact. I have been in IRAQ and I can tell you that they live a lot closer to death than you do! Let's bring to justice the people that did it, not someone somebody points at and said they think they were part of it. That would be like saying you are a terrorist because you are helping the Elderly Vote but only if you are controlling their vote. Or would you say that everyone that lives in Queens New York is either a whore or a junkie. Put your efforts into presenting the image you are presenting to me. The TRUE CITIZEN. A person that helps protect the right to vote and the Bill of Rights
AS I close this comment, I am not in love with Kerry but BUSH has had his shot at 4 years and a third party candidate like Ralph Nader can't last the 1st round against the big two parties.. The horror of 911 is nothing compared to the crap that is getting passed by this president in the name of protecting YOU!..... Beware YOU can easily be the target of your own government!!!!

I bet the people complaining about Hitparade's community work would not be complaining if he said he got them to vote for Kerry.

If I had the time, money, and drive like Hitparade has, I would be busing in Michael Badnarik supporters, but no we must not look at one person's good deeds instead we must pick it apart and look at the little things. I am sure Hitparade is talking to all of them and just because he says they are voting for Bush does not mean they are voting for Bush, he just discussed some options with them and got rid of some of the scare tactics used. If you really must complain how about you get up and do something!!

Typing of the subject, I need to help my fellow local Libertarians in founding Allen County's Libertarian Party group, since there are already a local DNC and RNC we just need to band together and found a local Libertarian Party group.

Bush is the worst President we have ever had. I am also in fla and if I hear one more soundbyte where he invokes god and says he is on a mission from god I am going to vomit. This guy is in bed so much with the christain fundaelminst that its just sick.

The undersec of defense talking about Bush being elected by Divine Intervetion and that we are fighting a war with Satan. The current admin are all crimianls and should be tried on treason.

A vote for bush is a vote agasint everyting that is american, and he does speak like a dipshit. Kerry might not be the greatest guy but its like this if your gonna get raped I rather get raped by the guy with crabs (kerry) than the guy with the hiv (bush).

Bush is the worst President we have ever had

Actually that title is still held by U.S. Grant and I don't think G.W. is even near claiming the title from Grant. (Little Big Horn and many Native Americans were killed under the authority of Grant and that ain't the half of it...)

As for Kerry or Bush winning, America will survive but the bureaucracy will worsen in DC, we need Badnarik in there for a change not more of the same from a different raper from a party that only shares a 2% difference when it comes to a Federal Budget with the other big party.

- Grim X

P.S. I am seriously thinking about picking up Michael Badnarik's book 'Good to be King', should be a good philosophical book and a look at how the government should be run, a government that works for the people not the other way around. Check out badnarik.org [LINK] if you are interested.

By the close of business, I anticipate surpassing the 500 mark I initially set.

Driving across the Country with a map in my hand reminds me of the Bush plan to execute the war on terror. Driving with out a map in my hand reminds me of kerry, who takes the road that looks good; that momentarily pleases the sense of direction perceived most navigable. Kerry will take which ever road looks good at that snap shot (shooting geese) moment in time. If you have somewhere to be, this is not good practice.

The elderly folk are gearing up to push Bush over the top. Unlike kerry/heinz, they paid taxes at a rate considerably higher than 12.4%. The rich get richer....

My mom (God rest her soul) was a stay at home mom. How insulting. Next, we'll hear heinz the Hun tell us peasants "eat cake."
